MEDICATION TRAINING - 4 Hours
If you or your staff assist residents with self-administration of medications, then you need this class to comply with the nine topics required in Health & Safety code 1569.69. Please note that the 40 hour Initial certification class does NOT meet H&S 1569.69, so this class is required to assist residents with medications.
This 4 hour class satisfies 4 of the 6 required hours of Medication Training for facilities with a capacity of 15 or less residents. The final 2 hours required by H&S code 1569.69 must be shadowing hours completed and documented in your facility by a qualified trainer.
For facilities with a capacity of 16 or more residents, 8 shadowing hours and 8 hours of online, classroom or other training are required. All other requirements remain the same as above.
Your class fee includes training materials and unless otherwise noted, beverages and morning pastries.
This two day class is DSS/CCL approved for 20 hours of RCFE and ARF CEU Administrator recertification training credit.
